Baroque Spain and Its Empire

Splendor and Passion showcases a selection of 57 paintings from the extraordinary riches of the Hispanic Society Museum & Library’s collection of Baroque Art. Included are rarely-seen masterpieces by some of Spain’s most renowned painters such as El Greco, Diego Velázquez, and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo.
Located in the heart of West Palm Beach, The Norton Museum of Art is Florida's largest art museum and home to a distinguished collection of art, with holdings in American, European, Contemporary and Chinese Art and Photography. The Norton hosts public programming year-round, and is committed to building community through the power of art.

Sorolla and the Sea

Sorolla and the Sea features approximately 40 works, on loan from The Hispanic Society Museum & Library for the first time in over 100 years, and explores explores the artist’s lifelong connection to the sea. Collectively, these works create a portal across the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean seaside of early 20th-century Spain.
